Phonics Teaching
Children educated at Stepping Stones often arrive at our school working significantly below age related expectations. Many of the children have ‘gaps’ in learning and need to revisit prior learning. For many years we have delivered ‘Letters and Sounds’ as our phonics programme.
When looking at our phonics and spelling programme we needed to find a SSP that was suitable to our school and setting. We have had lots of success with materials and Interventions from Fischer Family Trust and therefore was led to Success For All Phonics.
Our teaching staff teams are in the process of undertaking all the relevant training and the resources for us to begin the programme will be arriving in January.
